Humsafar - By Abida

Abida Parveen does not simply sing Sufi poetry; her voice seems to carry listeners somewhere beyond themselves. Humsafar brings that rare spiritual intensity to vinyl.

Rooted in the kafi and ghazal traditions, her singing moves from meditative stillness to soaring ecstasy, giving centuries-old words fresh urgency. It is music for slowing down, listening closely and feeling deeply.

This LP offers an analogue home for one of South Asia’s most revered singers. A treasured addition for Sufi music lovers, world-music collectors and listeners seeking a soulful, devotional sound.
