Sandinista! is the fourth studio album by the British punk band The Clash.In addition to its eclecticism—containing a vast variety of themes and styles with 6 songs on each of its 6 sides—it is considered the most radical album released to date by a group from the first wave of British punk. It was a "triple somersault" in which they tried everything, from dub versions to flirtations with nascent hip hop, being one of the first, and few, rock groups to embrace the new genre. Joe Strummer and Mick Jones’ crew were so open-minded that they didn't shy away from one of the genres most demonized by the rock orthodoxy of the time: disco music.
