Studio double album by jazz musician Miles Davis. The album continued his experimentation with electric instruments previously featured on his critically acclaimed In a Silent Way (1969); with the use of these instruments such as electric piano and guitar, Davis rejected traditional jazz rhythms in favour of a looser, rock-influenced improvisational style. Won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Jazz Performance - Large Group at the 14th Annual Grammy Awards (1971). Featured in Rolling Stone's 'Best Jazz Albums of All Time', The New Yorker's 'Top 100 Jazz Albums' and '1,000 Recordings to Hear Before You Die'.
